Veedersburg - Gilbert Lightle, 75, retired farmer of this community, collapsed and died on a downtown street about 3 p.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead on arrival when taken to the office of a local physician. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Lightle was born March 22, 1881, to the late John and Sarah Rayburn Lightle. He was married in 1902 to Mable Brown. The deceased was a member of the Veedersburg K of P. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Merle French of Danville, Ill; Miss Marie Bloomer of Ft. Worth; Mrs. Virginia Cadell of Pinehurst, Idaho and Mrs. Juanita Newman of Martington, Ill; one son Carl of Lansing, Ill and a sister, Mrs. Grace Odle of Crawfordsville. The body is at Fishero Funeral Home where friends may call and where services will be conducted by Rev. Samuel Pritchard at 3 p.m. Tuesday with interment in Rockfield Cemetery.
